History Of Ireland

The Irish have been in Ireland for over three thousand years, and they have left their mark. Their history is rich and varied, and they have played a major role in shaping the modern world. They are the descendants of the Celts who migrated from Britain to Ireland. These Celts were an agricultural people who believed in the worship of nature, and they lived by the rules of the druid priests.

When the Romans invaded Ireland, they forced the Irish to adopt the Roman religion. The Irish resisted this, but eventually they were forced to accept it. In the year A.D. 441, the Irish rose up against the Roman invaders, and the Roman army was defeated at the Battle of Claudius' Ford. After this, the Irish began to govern themselves. The first king of Ireland was Brian Boru. He ruled from 972 to 1014.

The Irish were ruled by the English until the early part of the 19th century. At that time, they fought for their independence, and they won. They then had a constitution which gave them freedom of speech, free trade, and a parliament. This constitution was replaced by a new one in 1937. This one also gave the Irish some degree of self rule.

The Irish language is still spoken today, and it is one of the oldest languages in Europe. It has many words which are similar to words found in Latin. The Irish people have always had a love of literature and poetry, and they have produced some of the most beautiful literature in the world. Many famous Irish writers have written books about Ireland. These include James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, and William Butler Yeats.

In the late 19th century, the Irish were involved in the Easter Rising. This was a rebellion which took place in Dublin. It lasted from April 24 to May 16, 1916. During this period, the Irish fought against the British, and they proclaimed an independent republic. This republic lasted only two days before it was crushed by the British.

During World War II, the Irish were again involved in a rebellion. This rebellion started in Dublin, and it lasted from December 28, 1941 to June 11, 1942. During this period, the IRA (Irish Republican Army) fought against the British. The IRA was made up of Irish Republicans who wanted to establish an independent Irish state.

Today, Ireland is a democratic country with a free market economy. The country has many natural resources, including oil and coal. There are also many tourists visiting Ireland each year. The Irish government has set up many tourist attractions throughout the country. Some of these attractions include:
